Law

In 1969, the General Assembly decided to take protective measures to conserve potable water supply for future generations.  They created a system to regulate water well and pump installation contractors to conserve our natural supply of usable water, to protect the health of our people and to insure a more effective use of the existing water supply. To preserve public peace, health and safety, they passed the Arkansas Water Well Construction Act.
